Newsflash

Internet bank accounts have a number of advantages over more traditional bank accounts. First, since they don't require local branches, costs are greatly reduced across the board for these accounts. Further, since most common tasks are handled electronically, staffing requirements are much lower for online bank accounts, further reducing costs. These savings can be passed on to online bank account holders in the form of higher interest rates and lower fees.

Further, with 24/7 access to your account over the internet, you can handle many banking tasks from almost anywhere. Being able to send electronic checks from your internet account, move part of your paycheck to your savings or money market account, and pay bills, all from your laptop in an Internet cafe, makes banking quick and painless, rather than an ordeal.

Many who are reluctant to make the switch to an online bank account cite concerns over security as a primary reason. In particular, they worry that getting their banks statements online rather than by mail may expose them to identity theft. The truth is the opposite is true. You're much more likely to fall victim to identity theft from someone raiding your mailbox or garbage than getting ahold of your online bank statement. Online bank documents are strongly encrypted, and highly difficult to crack. Anyone can get into your trash can, however. In short, Online Bank accounts are actually more secure, not less.

Online banks have been growing rapidly in market share in recent years, and some of the bigger banks, such as Washington Mutual, have responded by offering online bank accounts of their own. While some limit access to branches for online account holders, others allow you to take full advantage of their local branch and ATM networks, which is a great deal for those who prefer to at least have the option to do their banking in person.

So are the days of the local bank branch numbered? It's hard to say for sure, but one thing is certain - online bank accounts are here to stay, and are bound to continue to grow in prevalence. If you haven't considered switching to an online bank account, you should. The benefits are too good to be ignored.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 4, 2008 -- Filing bankruptcy in Texas just got one step easier. With the successful launch of the new Texas section of the Bankruptcy Headquarters website, citizens of the Lone Star state can now access a comprehensive website to educate themselves about any aspect of the Texas bankruptcy (http://www.bankruptcyhq.com/texas) process and learn how to take the appropriate steps to free themselves from heavy personal financial burden.

The new Texas section of the Bankruptcy Headquarters website provides in-depth details about the Texas state bankruptcy exemptions, the Texas bankruptcy courts, statistics related to bankruptcy filings in Texas, and information about the bankruptcy laws in Texas.

In addition to the Texas-specific bankruptcy information, the website also offers basic bankruptcy information such as:

- Top 10 bankruptcy questions

- Weekly blogs about current bankruptcy issues

- Details about the step-by-step bankruptcy process

- Clarification regarding bankruptcy truths and myths

- How to understand your credit

- Descriptions about life after bankruptcy

For many Texans, understanding the differences between filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Texas (http://www.bankruptcyhq.com/Understanding_bankruptcy/about-chapter-7) and Chapter 13 bankruptcy in Texas (http://www.bankruptcyhq.com/Understanding_bankruptcy/about-chapter-13) can be confusing because of the extensive legal technicalities. Bankruptcy Headquarters provides just the right amount of information, advice and resources -- all in plain English -- to clarify and "demystify" the personal bankruptcy process. And with the ability to receive a free financial evaluation from a local bankruptcy attorney, Bankruptcy Headquarters has now become a one-stop shop for Texans to learn how to get their personal finances back on track.

Kitchen Remodeling Doesn't Have to Break the Bank PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Monday, 09 August 2004
If you've been considering kitchen remodeling for any length of time, you may have become convinced that it's not even worthwhile to consider starting a renovation unless you're ready to spend fifty thousand dollars. You can certainly be forgiven if you've adopted that attitude,  but there's a good chance you're mistaken. Many people, perhaps yourself included, first start considering remodeling their kitchen because of things like nicks in the laminate or cracked tile and missing grout in the counterop. Or they may have drawers that don't have drawer glides, or cabinets with broken hinges. Or maybe they just think the color of the cabinets is ugly, or the vinyl floor tiles are peeling up. Perhaps their appliances are a wonderful shade of avocado. So they start investigating the ins and outs of kitchen remodeling. At first they're just interested in replacing or fixing the things that are lacking in their kitchen. But as they continue to research, they start to see all these wonderful things: Oak cabinets, granite countertops, commercial stainless steel ranges with six burners and massive hoods, etc. And then they begin to lose sight of why they started this quest as their desires become more and more grandiose. But maybe they (or you) don't need granite countertops, oak cabinets, or a six burner stove. Perhaps a coat of paint and some refacing would work fine for the cabinets. Maybe a nice linoleum floor and a new sink. Possibly replace that old scratched laminate countertop with a new one. You might be surprised how much some of them look like granite nowadays. Add in some new stainless steel (or black or white if you prefer) appliances and a coat of paint on the walls, and you might think you're standing in a brand new kitchen. And for one-fifth of what you thought you'd have to pay.One popular change that you might want to keep under consideration is the removal of a wall. If done right, this can work wonders for making a small kitchen feel spacious and open. Of course, you must make certain that any wall you remove is not structural. If removal of the full wall is not feasible, consider removing part of it and making it into a 'half wall' where only the top half or so is taken out, or creating a 'pass-thru' - more or less a square or rectangular hole in the wall. These can also make a world of difference in the feel of the finished room.Of course, it could be that your kitchen does need major updating. Maybe your stove and refrigerator are right next to each other. Any remodel worth the name has to change that. Maybe there's just not enough room for the four or five people that normally prepare meals in your house - so you really do need to expand outside the current kitchen walls. But make sure that any major (and expensive) changes occur because you need them or you really want them - not because you see them in every magazine you pick up or every TV design show you watch.

Get Business Financial Relief from Bankruptcy Filling PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Wednesday, 07 July 2004
Business is a situation in which a business organization has more liabilities than assets and is no longer capable of meeting its financial obligations. Any type of business can file for this bankruptcy. Actually it is common part of business, no matter what market you are in. It occurs especially among companies owned and operated by everyday people who place everything they have in order to succeed. There are many times when even successful companies become entangled in debt forcing them to consider a business bankruptcy as their only option. This bankruptcy occurs when a business organization has more liabilities than assets. They are no longer capable of meeting their financial obligations.

Bankruptcy is the filing of Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 by corporations and partnerships. On the filing of a Chapter 7 petition, the court appoints a trustee. The trustee' primary duty is to sell the assets of the bankruptcy estate, and then make distributions to creditors. Businesses, unlike individuals, cannot have any property exemptions, so all assets are to be sold and distributed.

Many businesses file for bankruptcy because of the relief it provides owners drowning in credit problems with no way out of debt. The good thing about a business bankruptcy compared to a personal bankruptcy is they fact that so many companies do it as a way of restructuring their business that there is not the negative stigma around it. The bankruptcy filings sources are Automatic Display Files (ADF). When you search any of these sources, the system automatically displays a content and/or coverage description. For additional details about these sources, review their source description. Consult your LexisNexis product Help for instructions on retrieving source descriptions.

The bankruptcy law can provide relief to the business owners who are overwhelmed with credit problems and cannot find any other way out of debt. However, business owners must also face the fact of losing one?s business and damaging one?s credit standing and endure embarrassment is a possibility. There is not much stigma attached to Business Bankruptcy because it is, in fact, used by many businesses to restructure their companies.

Business bankruptcy state if filed in court can lead to a situation where you can loose your business completely and thus destroying the chances of recovery. The disadvantages of filing business bankruptcy therefore are many and some are enumerated below:

If you file bankruptcy in court, you will have to hire attorney to present your case but as you are aware that attorney fees is not nominal and you shall have shelve down heavy fees. The litigation costs are very expensive and time consuming. Therefore, don't expect decision or relief in court.

After filing the case, the court has control over your assets as such you loose the control on your business and therefore improving your business does not arise. Even Mortgage after bankruptcy will also not bring any relief under the situation on account higher interest rates are being normally charged in such cases.

Despite filing bankruptcy case, you have to pay for your pending taxes as such you wont get any relief on your backlog taxes.
